Tomás Garcilazo, a third-generation Charro from Mexico City, has devoted his life to preserving and sharing La Charrería, Mexico’s National Sport. Introduced to the tradition at a young age, Tomás has become internationally recognized for his mastery of horsemanship and maguey rope artistry. Alongside his wife Justine and children, he performs their celebrated family act, Charro on the Road, traveling year-round across the U.S. and internationally to showcase their heritage and the legacy of the Western lifestyle.

 

“Charro on the Road” act is consistently ranked among the top 5 PRCA specialty acts and has become a beloved staple at the National Finals Rodeo where he has performed for an impressive 28 consecutive years. 

 

In 2021 with this family they won the TV talent show TBS’s Go Big Show Season 1. In March 2024, he was inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame.

 

His career includes performances in Europe, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico, with notable appearances on Broadway, Disney’s Wild West Show in Paris. He has performed for presidents of Mexico, at the U.S. White House, and the Kennedy Center.

 

Today, Tomás and family continues to share the beauty, pride, and tradition of La Charrería, inspiring audiences and keeping

the spirit of the Charro alive for future generations.
